Last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that most of the WrestleMania plans were scrapped by Vince McMahon.
Apparently, whatever was drawn up this past week for the show has been scrapped and McMahon is said to be “back to square one” with just 29 days left before the show.
WrestleVotes reports that the Mania card is not close to being finalized. This is very unusual because, in previous years, most of the card would have been figured out by December.
There’s no word what could be changing but, as of this writing, only a couple of matches appear to be locked in for the show. Edge vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship and Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship are the only two matches announced for the show.
Meanwhile, with just over a week away, there are only two matches announced for WWE Fastlane.
