Three Big Matches Announced For RAW – Matt Riddle will get another shot at the United States Championship but he will only get the shot if he is able to run the gauntlet on Monday’s RAW.
WWE Has announed that Riddle will face Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and MVP in the gauntlet match. It was not said when Riddle would get his title shot if he wins but the Royal Rumble is a week away so it’s possible that the U.S. title match could be added to the show.
It was noted several weeks ago by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Riddle vs. Lashley was one of the matches scheduled for the Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE has also announced that Alexa Bliss will challenge Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship.
In the main event of last week’s show, Bliss defeated Asuka by using her new Fiend-like powers. She transformed in the middle of the match, and she then pinned the champion with a Sister Abigail. It’s fair to wonder whether Asuka’s title reign is in jeopardy.
Last but not least, Charlotte Flair will go one one one against Shayna Baszler.
As noted, Drew McIntyre and Goldberg will also have an in-ring confrontation just days away from their WWE Championship match at the Rumble PPV.
