FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) made an appearance on the Battleground Podcast to discuss a wide range of topics.
Right out of the gate, Harwood revealed that he’s dealing with a knee injury.
Harwood suffered a knee injury during their latest match. The July 30th episode of Dynamite saw The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Five, Mr. Brodie Lee, Nine & Stu Grayson) & Colt Cabana defeated The Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood).
Harwood first recalled while playing football in high school in 2002, someone chop blocked him, which resulted in him tearing his ACL and he always had issues with his right knee. When he had his knee scoped out in 2004, he found out that the doctor who repaired the ACL left a pants button in the knee and it was chipping away at the cartilage ever since then. Thus, he wears a knee brace as a mental way to not think about it.
The recent injury happened when Wheeler came off the top rope for an elbow drop and Harwood tweaked the knee. Harwood said he hasn’t had an MRI on the knee yet to check it out, but he’s rehabbing it and taking precautionary measures. Unfortunately, this minor injury has prevented him from wrestling on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite during Tag Team Appreciation Night.
The Rock N’ Roll Express, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard will appear on the show to be honored.
