WrestleVotes account suggests that with WWE continuing to trim costs by releasing talent, that the company is at a point where they are at a point where they are willing to release “just about anyone” go who requests it.
Hearing from a few different sources that WWE is willing to grant a release to “just about anyone” who requests one. Basically if a talent wants out, they can go. Will be interesting to see if anyone REALLY does want out, especially during this uncertain time.
There are obviously exceptions to this as there are some talent that they probably wouldn’t let go no matter what and it’s also worth wondering which wrestlers would even want to be released amid the current circumstances.
In any case, this report – if true, would be a complete reversal from WWE’s stance as early as a few months ago where they were said to be “stockpiling” talent and/or denying all release requests.
