Roman Reigns' Status Reportedly Unknown

Backstage Update on Roman Reigns' Status
As noted, Roman Reigns pulled out of WrestleMania 36 to avoid any possible coronavirus related problems because of his weakened immune system due to leukemia.

Reigns then released a video message explaining why he skipped WrestleMania. He said that fans don’t know the entire story. He also said that he’s had time to think about how he wants to be treated because he’s got nothing but time right now.

“Got nothing but time to think about the past and what’s going on right now, especially the future and things I wanna do. How I wanna act, how I wanna be treated. All that.”

There is no backstage heat on The Big Dog that we have heard. It was said that Vince McMahon was very understanding of The Big Dog’s decision.

Roman Reigns’ status is unclear at this time. WWE is filming another run of television tapings this week into next week. Even WWE higher ups apparently don’t know what is going on with Reigns, and it's possible that Reigns won't be back until the COVID-19 outbreak is contained some.

When asked if Roman Reigns is going to be on WWE television at all for the remainder of the year, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter writer replied with a very uncertain response. "No idea. I’ve asked and even people high up in WWE don’t know."

WWE is recording a lot of content this week through next week. Their goal is to film three or four episodes each of Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT. If a Superstar isn’t at those tapings then odds are they will be absent from television while those episodes air. According to RSNRoman Reigns is not at the WWE television tapings. They were told that “all talent just got notified.”

Roman Reigns missing this run of television tapings means that he will not be featured on television unless WWE runs a pre-recorded video promo. Any footage airing of Roman Reigns in the next month won’t be taken from this set of tapings.
