The fans at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento were not happy at the end of Hell in the Cell main event between Seth Rollins and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.
For those of you that missed it, the referee called for the bell when Seth Rollins smashed Bray Wyatt with a sledgehammer. Yes, a disqualification was called in a HIAC match that is not supposed to have a disqualification.
Even worse was that Wyatt was back up and seemed fine. The fans chanted “restart the match” but that didn’t happen and the show ended with Wyatt on the stage after he took out Rollins with the mandible claw.
According to numerous reports from the arena, there were very loud AEW chants. There were others chanting “bullsh*t” and “we want refunds.” The AEW chants could be heard on the live broadcast.
Obviously, the finish was meant to continue the feud but it was clear that they should have come up with a better way to end that match.
