Cody Rhodes appeared on Fight Forever Wrestling’s production of Bruce Prichard’s Something To Wrestle podcast.
Rhodes took some questions from the crowd. When asked about a possible WWE return, Cody revealed that he “passed on the WWE offer a few weeks ago.”
He also said that he feels there’s a market out there for non-PG professional wrestling content at the moment following the success of “All In.” Cody and The Young Bucks self-funded a sold-out show from the Sears Center in Chicago, Illinois this past September.
Recently, the group of Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and Adam Page have distanced themselves from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Bullet Club” faction, now going by “The Elite.” They have repeatedly reminded fans their contracts expire in January and they will be free agents. The group has been linked to the rumored new All Elite Wrestling promotion.
