WWE Considering a Return of Tough Enough?

WWE Considering a Return of Tough Enough?
WWE recently filed a trademark for “Tough Enough” on October 25. The show began as a series on MTV in the early 2000’s and later revived in 2011 and 2015 on the USA Network.

The trademark was filed for “good and services” including the following:

“Toys, namely, action figures, accessories therefor; dolls; cases for action figures; toy wrestling rings; playsets for use with action figures; toy vehicles; board games; tabletop action skill games; construction toys; playing cards; puzzles; stuffed toys; plush toys; toy belts; knee and elbow pads for athletic use; toy foam hands; costume masks; novelty face masks; Christmas tree decorations; toy spinning tops; arcade games; kites; bobble-head dolls; puppets; card games”

It’s unclear if WWE is looking to revive the show or if this is just for upcoming merchandise but it is worth noting that WWE has been slowly expanding their reality show line-up and they are hoping to sell more shows to networks, similar to Total Divas/Bellas on the E! Network and Mrs. and Ms. on the USA Network. A Tough Enough reality series might be a good replacement for The Ultimate Fighter on Fox Sports 1. UFC is leaving the network next year and Fox Sports will need to fill several hours of TV each day. Tough Enough could be a good fit for them.

WWE has also filed for “Lightning Fist,” which is the name of John Cena’s new spinning backfist move. It looks like there are plans for “Lighting Fist” to be included on upcoming merchandise.
