Following CM Punk’s loss at UFC 225, Corey Graves took to Twitter to comment on the fight. He didn’t mention Punk’s name but it was clear to everyone who he was talking about.
Graves said, “Maybe abandoning everybody who stood by your side, even when we weren’t supposed to, only to have you turn your back on us wasn’t the right move after all? No anger. Only sadness.”
Many of Graves’ followers ripped him for the timing of his remarks. However, it should be noted that Graves was close to Punk. Graves and Punk were friends for over a decade when Punk left the company in January 2014 so there is probably a lot more behind his comments than we know. It’s no secret within wrestling that Punk has distanced himself from many of his long-time friends.

The first rule of “punk rock” is loyalty, and this guy betrayed it all.I still love you, “friend” and I’m sorry you got lost.
