It was originally reported that Roman Reigns is expected to win the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble and go on to defend it at this year’s WWE WrestleMania 33 Pay per View.
We have been told that those plans may have slightly changed. While Reigns is still penciled in to win the Universal Championship at some point, it may not happen at the Royal Rumble event. There is a good chance right now that Reigns will capture the title at the next RAW-brand pay-per-view event, Fastlane if he doesn’t get the win at The Rumble.
