– We noted before that WWE was planning on releasing a “Hardcore” DVD and Blu-ray some time this year. WrestlingDVDNetwork.com reports that the set will apparently cover the history of the WWE Hardcore Title from 1998 through 2002 with video packages and a match compilation. “The History of the Hardcore Championship: 24/7” is set to be released in September of this year.
– We’ve noted how bodybuilder Rachael Ellering, daughter to WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, recently got into the pro wrestling business and was looking at a potential WWE career. Paul recently spoke with MPR News and talked about how fans would try to fight wrestlers back in the day, noting that he still keeps space between himself and fans at signings today. Ellering said what concerns him the most about his daughter getting into the business is her going out on the road. He commented:
“I trust in her ability. She is a tremendous talent. Anytime you’re in the public, (there are) lots of weirdos.”
