Rumored Original Plans For Brock Lesnar At WM 33

Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Brock Lesnar was at one point scheduled to face Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33. This was before Goldberg signed to stay with WWE through WrestleMania.

Regardless it doesn’t sound like that the Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon match would have happened anyway. Meltzer went on to say that Lesnar had gotten himself out of that match and that he, “certainly didn’t want to do,” it.

The Lesnar vs Shane McMahon angle was set in motion after Lesnar’s SummerSlam match with Randy Orton where McMahon entered the ring to calm Lesnar down and received an F5 for his troubles.
