New reports have provided an update regarding Stephanie Vaquer ankle injury sustained over the weekend at Money in the Bank.
During Monday’s PLE episode of WWE RAW, Vaquer appeared in a backstage segment where it was revealed that she was receiving medical treatment for an ankle issue. The former Women’s World Champion downplayed the situation during the broadcast, describing the injury as “nothing” and insisting she would be fine within a few days.
Medical Update and In-Ring Status Following Money in the Bank
According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury is entirely legitimate rather than a part of ongoing television storylines:
- “The Vaquer injury from the PPV match was legit, not storyline, but she’s not expected to be out for very long,” Meltzer wrote.
Despite the legitimate nature of the setback, internal expectations indicate she will not miss an extended period of action.
Future Program and Championship Picture
The update on Stephanie Vaquer ankle injury comes as WWE appears to be laying the groundwork for a high-profile program between Vaquer and Becky Lynch. Both competitors were recently involved in the chaotic Women’s World Championship match at Money in the Bank, where Liv Morgan captured the title by defeating both Vaquer and Lynch in a triple threat encounter.
Vaquer and Lynch subsequently confronted one another on RAW, with both competitors placing blame on each other for the outcome of the championship bout. While WWE has yet to officially announce a singles match between the two, their heated exchange signals a definite collision course once Vaquer receives full medical clearance to return to the ring.
