A major update has emerged regarding the future of a top WWE star. Major All Elite Wrestling names are reportedly pushing behind the scenes to recruit “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus to their roster.
According to Fightful Select, top talents like Claudio Castagnoli and Adam Copeland have openly expressed their strong desire to share a locker room with the Irish veteran. Despite this backstage support, AEW management currently does not view his signing as an immediate priority.
While Sheamus has engaged in discussions with various wrestling promotions outside of WWE, a jump to Tony Khan‘s company does not appear imminent. The veteran performer recently fueled internet speculation by changing his social media handles to his real name, Stephen Farrelly, alongside a cryptic farewell message to WWE.
The former WWE Champion has been sidelined since undergoing shoulder surgery last December. His final televised appearance took place on the November 17 episode of WWE RAW, where he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day.
Sheamus has been a cornerstone of WWE since 2006. His legendary resume includes multiple WWE and World Heavyweight Titles, the United States Championship, numerous Tag Team Championships, a Royal Rumble victory, Money in the Bank, and the King of the Ring tournament.
