Former WWE, WCW, and ECW veteran 2 Cold Scorpio (real name Charles Scaggs) was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday, October 9, following a guilty plea to second-degree assault and armed criminal action charges.
The 60-year-old wrestler, who also competed as Flash Funk in WWE, received his sentence after reaching a plea agreement ahead of a scheduled trial.
Despite the six-year prison sentence, Scaggs may avoid serving the full duration behind bars. The court ordered him to complete an intensive 120-day program through the Missouri Department of Corrections. Upon completion of the 120-day evaluation period, corrections officials will submit a progress report to the judge, who will then determine whether to release Scaggs on community probation for the remainder of his term. An official update on his probation status is expected in early 2027.
The charges stem from a June 2024 incident at a Love’s Travel Stop where Scaggs was employed as a security guard. A confrontation over a customer smoking inside the facility escalated into a physical altercation outside, leading to his initial arrest.
Scaggs’ legal complications worsened in September when prosecutors alleged he violated bond conditions by brandishing a firearm during a separate incident. His bond was revoked, and he was remanded into custody on September 17.
Prior to his 2024 arrest, Scaggs had no criminal record. Renowned for his innovative aerial style during the 1990s, he achieved major success across ECW, WCW, WWE, and several international promotions throughout his decades-long career.
