David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz have officially unveiled the executive leadership structure expected to guide the newly combined media giant—to be named Skydance—following the anticipated close of Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).
The announcement establishes a dual-leadership model, with David Ellison serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer alongside Co-CEO Ynon Kreiz. Andy Gordon will step into the role of President to support enterprise strategy across film, television, streaming, and news verticals.
Key Executive Appointments
The newly formed CEO Leadership Team (CLT) pulls top executives from across the merging entities to manage enterprise operations, creative divisions, direct-to-consumer platforms, and news networks:
- Direct-To-Consumer (DTC): Casey Bloys and Jean-Briac (JB) Perrette will serve as Co-Chairs of Skydance DTC, overseeing streaming strategy across Max and Paramount+. Bloys will act as Chief Content Officer, while Perrette assumes the role of Chief Business Officer.
- Television: George Cheeks and JB Perrette will serve as Co-Chairs of Skydance TV. Cheeks will lead as Chief Content Officer across a unified portfolio that includes Warner Bros. Television Studios, CBS Studios, Paramount Television Studios, CBS Network, and cable brands like HGTV, Food Network, TBS, TNT, and Nickelodeon.
- Motion Picture Group: Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein have been named Co-Chairmen of the Skydance Motion Picture Group, taking charge of combined film slates for Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros.
- DC Studios: James Gunn and Peter Safran will retain their roles as Co-Chairmen of DC Studios, continuing their creative stewardship of the DC Universe across film, television, and gaming.
- News Leadership: Sir Mark Thompson will continue to lead CNN Worldwide as Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, while Bari Weiss will serve as Editor-in-Chief of CBS News following Skydance’s acquisition of The Free Press.
- Corporate & Technology: Dennis Cinelli (Chief Financial Officer), Makan Delrahim (Chief Legal Officer & President, Global Corporate Affairs), Dane Glasgow (Chief Product Officer), Rebecca Mall (Chief Marketing Officer), and Melissa Zukerman (Chief Communications Officer) round out the corporate executive team.
Focus On “Creativity And Technology”
In corporate statements released alongside the announcement, Ellison emphasized building a “creative-first home with the scale, imagination, and technology to define entertainment for a generation.” Kreiz added that the executive structure will prioritize optimizing the company’s streaming and linear broadcast assets while leveraging its expanded intellectual property library.
While reports indicate that All Elite Wrestling will not undergo any changes due to the WBD acquisition, it is interesting to note that AEW was not mentioned in the press release.
The complete Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is expected to be detailed shortly after the transaction officially closes.
