All Elite Wrestling continues to expand the card for its upcoming international debut. During the October 3 episode of AEW Collision, the promotion officially announced that Samoa Joe will go one-on-one with “Jungle” Jack Perry in a high-stakes Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match.
The match will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at AEW Grand Slam France, hosted live inside the Adidas Arena in Paris. The winner of this marquee singles bout will secure an official entry spot into the inaugural Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream.
Escalating Personal Rivalry With Championship Stakes
Beyond the opportunity to advance toward the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream, Joe and Perry bring significant personal animosity into Paris.
Following physical confrontations and unresolved tension stemming from AEW All Out, Perry cut a vignette on Collision directly challenging Joe, which led to Joe warning the younger competitor to temper his approach. The inclusion of a World Title qualifier elevates their ongoing feud into a critical focal point for the broadcast.
Multiple Championship Matches & Challenges Confirmed For Paris
In addition to the World Title qualifier, Collision served as a launchpad for several other marquee title matches and high-profile challenges heading into the Paris event:
- AEW Women’s World Championship Match Added: Queen Aminata, coming off a victory over Julia Hart, received official approval from Tony Khan for an AEW Women’s World Championship match. Unwilling to wait until WrestleDream, Aminata officially called her shot for Grand Slam France.
- TNT Championship Challenge: Darby Allin laid down an intense challenge to Kyle Fletcher, seeking a showdown in Paris for the TNT Championship.
- ROH World Championship Challenge: Following his singles victory over Lee Moriarty, Kofi confronted ROH World Champion Bandido in a backstage segment to demand a championship shot.
Confirmed Match Card For AEW Grand Slam France
AEW Grand Slam France marks the organization’s historic first-ever live event in France, hosting tapings for both AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision at the Adidas Arena.
- AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
- TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher
- Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match: Samoa Joe vs. “Jungle” Jack Perry
- ROH World Championship: Kofi vs. Bandido
- AEW Women’s World Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Queen Aminata

With a guaranteed spot in the multi-man World Title match at WrestleDream on the line, the showdown between Joe and Perry gives the Paris crowd a high-stakes centerpiece match.
