Former NXT Champion and multi-time tag team champion Bobby Roode (Robert Roode) has been moved to the alumni section of WWE’s official roster page.
The website update comes on the heels of a similar shift for Titus O’Neil, who was also quietly transitioned to the alumni category after spending several years serving as a WWE Global Ambassador. Despite the digital roster move, there is no indication that Roode’s overall employment status with the company has changed.
Roode has been out of active in-ring competition since mid-2022 due to severe neck issues that required complex fusion surgeries. Following his recovery, he transitioned into a full-time, behind-the-scenes role as a WWE producer, where he has earned high praise from talent across both RAW and SmackDown.
WWE routinely lists inactive or retired performers under its website alumni hub even if they remain under contract in non-wrestling capacity—such as producers, coaches, or broadcast personalities. While Roode revealed in 2024 that he had been technically cleared for contact, the 50-year-old veteran expressed contentment with his backstage position:
“It is what it is. Like I said, when the wheels fall off, the wheels fall off.”
Neither WWE nor Roode has issued a formal statement regarding the website update, and he continues to perform his duties as part of the WWE producing team.
