WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has addressed rumors surrounding a potential return to the ring, revealing he has no immediate plans to follow SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis back into in-ring competition.
During a recent interview with Love Wrestling, Pearce was asked whether Aldis’ return to the ring sparked any desire for him to lace up his boots once again. The 48-year-old authority figure quickly dismissed the idea, citing both his age and his reluctance to step back into wrestling gear.
“Less than zero interest in putting on my size 13, Stagecoach boots,” Pearce stated. “I am 48 years old and have no desire to put spandex on.”
“Never Say Never” Mindset Leaves Small Door Open
Pearce went on to joke about why fans should be relieved that he remains in his suit on Monday nights, delivering a humorous assessment of what an in-ring return in 2026 would look like.
“You at home do not need to see a 48-year-old, bald Caucasian Adam Pearce wearing tights in 2026 or beyond,” Pearce continued. “This is something that will detach retinas. So we’re gonna say no. But we will not ever say never.”
Prior to transitioning to an on-screen authority role and backstage official for WWE, Pearce built a distinguished career on the independent circuit and notably held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship five times. While he has occasionally engaged in physical angles on WWE television, he has avoided full-length singles competition during his tenure as RAW General Manager.
