WWE’s early plans to take Survivor Series 2026 to an international location are no longer moving forward, according to a new report.
WrestleVotes Radio reports that WWE had explored hosting the 2026 edition of Survivor Series outside the United States. However, those discussions have fallen through in recent months, leading the company to shift direction for the milestone event.

The report also revealed that Boston, Massachusetts had been in the mix to host this year’s Survivor Series. The city reportedly pushed to secure the event, but negotiations ultimately broke down over financial terms. The situation is said to be similar to previous talks between WWE and Boston regarding a potential major event tied to John Cena’s final match.
That event was eventually awarded to Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., highlighting WWE’s ongoing focus on securing favorable deals when selecting host cities for its biggest shows.
As for Survivor Series, an official announcement regarding this year’s location is expected before SummerSlam, which is scheduled for August 1 and 2. WWE typically finalizes and reveals host cities for its major premium live events well in advance, making the upcoming announcement a key update for fans.
The 2026 Survivor Series will mark the 40th edition of the long-running event, adding additional importance to its location and presentation. WWE has often used milestone shows to deliver larger-scale productions or unique settings, which likely played a role in the initial push for an international venue.
In recent years, Survivor Series has taken place across a range of major markets. The 2025 event was held in San Diego, California, while the 2024 edition took place in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 2023 show was hosted at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, a night that stood out due to CM Punk’s return to WWE.
With international plans now off the table for 2026 and negotiations in Boston falling short for this year, WWE appears to be recalibrating its strategy for one of its longest-running events.
