The segment featured a celebration of the Rougeau family, with hometown star “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard leading the tribute at the Bell Centre. However, the moment quickly shifted when the Don Callis Family interrupted, turning the tribute into a physical confrontation.

Menard received a strong ovation as he entered wearing a Montreal Expos jacket and addressed the crowd in French. He then introduced legendary brothers Jacques Rougeau and Raymond Rougeau, who were welcomed with another loud reaction.
Commentary highlighted the Rougeau family’s lasting impact on wrestling in Montreal and noted Raymond’s post-wrestling role in public service. Both brothers addressed the crowd in French, drawing enthusiastic responses throughout.
Jacques blended appreciation with references to his past, mentioning names like Jimmy and Ronnie Garvin while playfully acknowledging fans who once booed him. He then asked the crowd to turn on their phone lights, leading the arena in a loud chant of “Ole! Ole!” as the lights dimmed, creating a memorable moment.
Don Callis Family Disrupts Celebration
The tribute was interrupted by Rocky Romero, who declared that the only family that mattered was the Don Callis Family. He also referenced Jacques Rougeau’s infamous roll-of-quarters incident while confronting the legends.
The situation escalated quickly. Jacques struck Romero, and Raymond joined in as the Rougeau brothers, alongside Menard, overwhelmed him. The trio sent Romero over the top rope and to the floor, ending the interruption emphatically.
Jacques attempted to continue speaking afterward, but the show’s closing music began, signaling the end of the Buy-In segment.
