WWE may already have its next main roster call-up lined up, as Lola Vice is reportedly set to make the jump from NXT.
According to Bryan Alvarez, Vice is expected to move to WWE’s main roster following her recent appearance at AAA Verano de Escándalo. “It is believed Lola Vice has been called up and will likely be on SmackDown,” Alvarez reported.
Lola Vice WWE Call-Up Reported After AAA Match
Vice competed at the AAA event as one-half of the Mixed Tag Team Champions, teaming with Mr. Iguana. The duo lost their titles to La Hiedra and Laredo Kid after La Hiedra pinned Vice following a front face slam.
Despite the reported call-up, Vice still has unfinished business in NXT. She is scheduled to challenge Kendal Grey for the NXT Women’s Championship on the August 4 episode of NXT. The match will take place just days after SummerSlam weekend and will be contested under NXT Underground rules.
This stipulation has been a major strength for Vice throughout her WWE run. She remains undefeated in Underground matches, including a notable victory over Kelani Jordan earlier this year.
Strong NXT Run Ahead of Possible Move
Vice signed with WWE in 2022 and quickly rose through the ranks in NXT. She gained momentum by winning the 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, defeating Kelani Jordan in the finals.
Earlier this year, Vice captured the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver in a match that also featured Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey. Her reign ended at the Great American Bash on June 28, where Grey defeated her to win the title.
With momentum still on her side and a title opportunity ahead, Vice’s reported move to SmackDown could mark the next step in her WWE career.
