Dexter Lumis has officially stepped back into the ring following his WWE departure, returning to his previous identity as Samuel Shaw.
Just months after confirming his release, Lumis wasted no time restarting his in-ring career. He revealed his return through social media, sharing images from Atomic Legacy Wrestling’s Star Spangled Slammer 10 event along with the message: “Back to work. @atomiclegacywrestling.”
Samuel Shaw Makes Winning Return After WWE Run
The comeback match also featured a familiar ally. Shaw reunited with fellow former Wyatt Sicks member Joe Gacy, teaming up to face Martin Stone and Ripper Zbyszko. The duo secured a victory, marking a successful first outing for Shaw since leaving WWE.
The appearance represents a quick turnaround following Lumis’ emotional farewell message back in April, when his WWE run came to an end. At the time, he reflected on his experience as part of the Wyatt Sicks faction and paid tribute to Bray Wyatt.
“Won’t make this too sappy, but I love each and every member of this group. The task we took on together was truly monumental. I won’t look back with any regrets. To the fans of @wyattsicks, we truly felt Bray’s presence each and every time we made our entrance. I would like to think most of you did too…”
New Chapter Begins Outside WWE
Now competing once again as Samuel Shaw, the former WWE star appears focused on rebuilding momentum on the independent scene. His immediate reunion with Joe Gacy has already sparked interest among fans who followed their time together in WWE.
While it remains unclear whether this partnership will continue, Shaw’s return signals a fresh start after his WWE exit. With his first post-WWE match now in the books, Samuel Shaw has officially begun the next phase of his career.
