WWE creative may be preparing a powerhouse reset for two of its most physical female athletes, with reports indicating that Ivy Nile and Jordynne Grace could soon be paired together as a tag team upon their return to main roster television.
Both powerhouse competitors have been absent from primary broadcast programming in recent months. However, backstage updates reveal that internal discussions surrounding the duo progressed far enough earlier this year that WWE actually filmed custom promotional vignettes over the summer. Those packages were reportedly produced with the intention of airing during the September television cycle.
Contract Statuses & The “Iron Built” Connection
Neither competitor is currently sidelined due to injury. Instead, both athletes have simply been waiting for the creative team to greenlight their re-introduction:
- Ivy Nile: The American Made member’s WWE contract is reportedly approaching its expiration date in October. While formal extension details have remained under wraps, pitched creative plans of this scale strongly suggest the company intends to retain her long-term.
- Jordynne Grace: The former TNA Knockouts World Champion remains locked into a long-term, multi-year WWE contract with several years left on her deal.
Speculation within WWE creative circles also connects the proposed pairing to the company’s recent corporate trademark filing for “Iron Built,” a brand name that would perfectly fit the unmatched physical conditioning and power-based in-ring style shared by Nile and Grace.
