WWE SmackDown Results – September 11, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage results of WWE SmackDown on September 11, from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

We are live from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to start the show.

Orton asked the crowd what they wanted to talk about. He said he wanted to talk about Cody Rhodes. Less than a week ago, in front of Cody’s friends, family, his mother, and his wife, Randy said he showed everyone exactly who Cody is. Randy said Cody is not a killer — he’s a good man, a good father, a good husband, and a good friend.

Randy said it takes a lot to put down a legend, and he would know because he spent years systematically killing legends. He said it takes a piece of your soul, and Cody’s soul isn’t for sale. Cody is no killer — but Randy said he is. He doesn’t care how people perceive him. Anyone who gets between him and number fifteen, he won’t hesitate to pull the trigger or empty the clip.

Randy said whoever wins tonight, he’s coming for them with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment: R… K… O.

Backstage – Chelsea Green, Nick Aldis & Tiffany Stratton

Nick Aldis told Chelsea Green that if she loses her mask tonight, he’ll have to take the title from her. Chelsea said she needs to prove she can keep the championship.

Tiffany Stratton walked in and said she wasn’t going to miss Chelsea’s title defense. She promised to make sure Lash Legend doesn’t get involved.

Rey Fenix vs. Ricky Saints – AAA Cruiserweight Championship

They locked up and Ricky went to a waist lock, but Fenix took him down with a single‑leg and snapped on a headscissors. Fenix lit him up with a chop, then hit the ropes for a springboard twisting wrist‑lock takedown followed by a dropkick. Fenix grabbed a waist lock, but Ricky chopped free and hit the ropes for an Arabian Press into a wrist‑lock takedown of his own. Ricky posed, and Fenix caught him with a West Coast Pop for a two count.

Ricky kicked Fenix against the ropes and launched into a suicide dive that turned into a tornado DDT on the floor. Ricky teased another dive, stopped short, and struck another pose as the match continued.

They returned to the ring and Ricky slapped Fenix in the head, then tried pulling at the mask. Ricky fired kicks and they traded chops until Ricky hit an overhead belly‑to‑belly for two. Fenix rolled to the floor and Ricky followed, chopping him around ringside. Ricky hit a hot‑shot across the barricade, then threw Fenix back inside and climbed up top. He came down with a double sledge to the back of the head for another near fall, then choked Fenix in the ropes.

Ricky blocked a kick, hit an uppercut to the arm, kicked Fenix again, and went back to the turnbuckles. He walked Old School, put Fenix on the top rope, and set for a superplex. Fenix blocked it, chopped Ricky, and hit a springboard rana off the turnbuckles. Fenix went to the apron, hit forearms and a chop, then landed a double‑jump moonsault for two.

Fenix kicked Ricky off the top rope and hit an Asai moonsault. He went up again and hit a crossbody for another near fall. Fenix climbed once more for a somersault attack, but Ricky caught him with a powerbomb and followed with a tornado DDT for a close two count.

Fenix caught Ricky with an inside cradle for two, then hit a rebound back‑heel kick. Ricky tried sending Fenix into the referee, but Fenix stopped short and Ricky hit a round kick. Fenix avoided Roshambo and hit a handspring cutter for two. Ricky nailed a superkick, but Fenix kicked him on the turnbuckles, set for the Mexican Muscle Buster, and hit it clean for the three count.

Winner: Rey Fenix

Fenix offered a handshake after the match, but Saints refused.

Backstage – Cathy Kelley With Sami Zayn

Cathy Kelley asked Sami Zayn for his thoughts heading into the WWE Championship match. Sami said he knows what people are thinking, but this isn’t about him — it’s about justice. He said he wanted the match any way it came. He would’ve been fine if Kevin Owens won, but Owens didn’t want help. He would’ve been fine if Johnny Gargano won. But Sami said he’s realized it can’t be anyone else. For there to be justice, it has to be by his hand.

Sami said tonight, he takes back the WWE Championship.

Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae walked in and hugged him. Sami told Johnny tonight is the night — everything they talked about. Johnny told Sami that if Sami beats Punk, he’s next.

Nikki Bella vs. Paige

Paige had to be held back by the referee before the bell even rang. Once it did, she charged straight in with a Thesz Press and punches. She threw Nikki across the ring by the hair, then did it again. Paige slapped Nikki and hit a running thrust kick. Nikki bailed to the floor and Paige followed. They traded punches until Paige sent Nikki into the barricade and choked her. Paige dumped Nikki onto the announce table and kicked her in the head before throwing her back inside. Nikki missed a shoulder in the corner and Paige hit knees from the apron.

Nikki rolled back to the floor, tripped Paige, and dragged her down with her. Paige sent Nikki into the barricade again and mocked her. She threw Nikki into the steps. Nikki hid behind the referee, grabbed a quick takedown, and used her feet on the ropes to steal the win.

Winner: Nikki Bella

Backstage – Cathy Kelley With Lash Legend & Nia Jax

Cathy asked Lash and Nia about their strategy. Nia said Chelsea Green never should’ve won the title and she plans to end Chelsea’s career by breaking her face. Lash added that she’ll make sure Tiffany Stratton doesn’t get involved.

Trick Williams Promo / Lil Yachty Attacked

Trick Williams made his way to the ring and said he’s finally arrived. He told the Mexico City crowd they were chanting “Quiñones,” one of Mexico’s best players, and said he’s one of the best SmackDown has to offer. Trick talked about Sunday night, saying he took Baron Corbin’s head and bounced it up and down before kicking his ass all night long. He kicked a soccer ball into the crowd and said with Money in the Bank around the corner, he might have to change his name to Tricky Two Titles.

Trick introduced Lil Yachty — but Yachty didn’t come out. Trick did a full introduction again, still nothing.

Baron Corbin then dragged Yachty out from the back and disappeared behind the curtain. Corbin returned and cracked Trick with a kendo stick, leaving him laid out.

Backstage – Finn Balor, Nick Aldis, Danhausen & Gunther

Finn Balor told Nick Aldis he’s next in line after tonight’s title match. Danhausen appeared when Nick mentioned Money in the Bank. Gunther then walked in, and Nick complained about being interrupted.

Gunther said Finn was trying to put himself in a place he doesn’t belong. He said Finn peaked ten years ago and should’ve hung up the boots — maybe someone needs to beat it into him. Finn called Gunther a bitch and said he’s heard it all before. Gunther stepped back in, and Finn punched him as tensions escalated.

Nia Jax vs. Chelsea Green – SmackDown Women’s Championship

Green opened fast with a dropkick, but Nia shoved her down. Green sent Nia to the floor and hit a suicide dive, but Nia caught her and slammed her into the apron. Nia threw Green over the announce table, hit a headbutt, and rolled her back inside for a boot to the head. Green fired punches, but Nia tossed her with a biel. Nia missed a corner splash and Green hit an enzuigiri. Green went up top and hit a missile dropkick that sent Nia to the floor.

Nia blocked a kick and sent Green face‑first into the apron, then into the barricade before rolling her back in. Nia threw Green into the turnbuckles, hit a uranage, then a back senton. Green tried punching back, but Nia dropped her again. Nia climbed the ropes, lifted Green, and choked her. Green kicked free and press‑slammed Nia off the turnbuckles.

Green hit a boot, went for a rana, Nia blocked it briefly, but Green completed it and followed with knees to the back. Nia hit a Samoan Drop for two, then ripped off Green’s protective mask.

Nia threw Green to the floor. Lash Legend wound up to strike, but Tiffany Stratton shoved Green out of the way and took the punch instead. Nia went for the ANIAlator and missed. Green grabbed her mask, put it back on, dropped Nia across the top rope, then climbed up. She hit a headbutt, then a Diamond Dust into the UnprettiHER for the three count.

Winner (and still champion): Chelsea Green

Backstage – Cathy Kelley With CM Punk

Cathy asked Punk about giving Sami Zayn a title match. Punk said sometimes you have to reward bad behavior. He said Sami and Kevin are part of the problem. Punk didn’t come to Mexico City to lose his title to a man who broke his hand “jerking it to his nine‑day title reign.” Punk said he’ll show why he’s the Best in the World.

Damian Priest & R‑Truth vs. Erik & Ivar – AAA Tag Team Championship

Erik and Ivar jumped the champions at the bell. Erik whipped Ivar into Truth while he hammered Priest on the floor. Ivar hit a frog splash for a two count. Erik tagged in and both Raiders pounded Truth with forearms and shoulder strikes. Ivar returned and hit a clothesline for another near fall. Erik tagged, then Ivar again, keeping Truth trapped. Ivar missed a splash and Erik spilled to the floor, giving Truth just enough space to reach Priest.

Priest exploded in with kicks and punches. He hit a jumping clothesline on Ivar, then a jumping back elbow on Erik. Priest fired forearms and uppercuts in the corner, knocked Erik to the floor, and hit a leaping flatliner on Ivar for a two count.

Priest went for his rebound clothesline, but Erik yanked Ivar to the floor. Priest launched off the ring steps with a crossbody. Erik distracted Priest on the turnbuckles, letting Ivar knock Priest to the floor. Erik covered for two, then kicked Priest in the back and clamped on a front facelock. Priest tried fighting toward Truth, but Erik cut him off with punches. Ivar tagged in, hit a knee to the ribs, Erik followed with a knee to the head, and Ivar got another near fall. Ivar locked in a chinbar.

Priest fought out with punches and kicks, but Ivar stopped the tag again. Priest kept swinging. Ivar knocked Truth off the apron, hit a back elbow, but Priest kicked him on the turnbuckles. Priest climbed and hit a top‑rope rana.

Truth and Erik tagged in. Truth hit the flying shoulder tackles, the Blue Thunder Bomb, and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Ivar tagged and Truth hit the split, tried lifting him, but Ivar shoved him into the corner. Truth hit a Death Valley Driver for two. Priest blasted Erik with kicks and a rolling elbow. The Raiders hit a pop‑up powerslam. Truth punched Ivar, but Ivar answered with the Spin Kick of Doom.

Erik tagged in, they hit Ragnarok, and that was enough.

Winners (and still champions): Erik & Ivar

After the match, they hugged. Priest handed Truth a sombrero… then clotheslined him. The straps came down and Priest hit South of Heaven onto the sombrero.

Backstage – Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Fatal Attraction

Charlotte and Alexa walked backstage. Alexa told Charlotte it was just one miscue they needed to fix. Fatal Attraction stepped in and said they might have more to worry about, pointing out Charlotte lost to Jade. Jacy started talking about Money in the Bank, and Tatum Paxley appeared.

Tatum said she hated how Sunday’s match ended but she has Charlotte’s back. Charlotte said she needs to know she can trust Tatum — she needs to know Sunday was a working mistake.

Backstage: Rey Fenix, Cathy Kelley & Ricky Saints

Cathy Kelley asked Rey Fenix about Penta’s match on Monday and what a win would mean for their family. Fenix said this weekend is huge for them — he has to defend his title on Sunday, and he believes his brother will win his own championship as well.

Ricky Saints walked in and apologized for his behavior earlier. He told Rey he was the better man and offered a handshake. Rey accepted it and turned away… and Saints jumped him from behind, dropping him before storming off.

CM Punk (c) vs. Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Championship

Punk came out throwing punches and drove Sami into the corner, climbing the turnbuckles for more shots. He favored his knee, but still launched himself through the ropes with a suicide dive. Punk posed on the barricade, then hit a left‑leg kick that clearly hurt him. Back inside, Sami fired kicks. Punk answered with a kick and chops. Sami slipped away, but Punk chased him down with more chops. Sami hit shoulders in the corner. Punk snapped him over with a suplex, then whipped him hard into the buckles. Sami returned the favor with an Irish whip and a clothesline. He followed with an elbow to the bridge of the nose and locked in a rear chinlock.

Sami hammered Punk with punches on the turnbuckles, but Punk stopped him with a reverse atomic drop followed by a standard atomic drop. Punk hit a neckbreaker and chopped Sami, but Sami answered with a punch and then drove a shoulder straight into Punk’s injured knee, dropping him instantly. The referee checked on Punk and held Sami back as Punk dragged himself to the apron.

Sami rolled outside, clipped Punk’s leg from behind, and slammed the injured knee into the ring post. He punched Punk, kicked the knee repeatedly, and kept targeting the joint. Punk struggled to stand and collapsed into the corner. Sami kicked him again, forcing the referee to step in and stop him. Sami yelled at the referee as Punk tried to pull himself upright.

Punk fired a kick but couldn’t stay upright because of the knee. He threw punches and chops anyway, fighting through the pain. Punk hit another neckbreaker, and the referee checked on him again as Punk slammed his injured hand into the mat and stomped on it out of frustration. Punk hauled Sami up and tried for the Go 2 Sleep, but Sami grabbed the bad leg mid‑lift and dropped into a figure‑four. Punk rolled to the ropes to force the break.

Both men checked their injuries — Sami his wrist, Punk his knee — before meeting in the center and trading punches. Punk targeted the wrist, Sami hammered the knee. Sami cracked Punk with a punch and followed with chops as the match continued.

Sami barked at Punk, and Punk answered with a round kick to the temple that dropped both men. Punk climbed the turnbuckles, but Sami cut him off, crotched him, and hit a superplex. He couldn’t capitalize.

Punk shoved Sami into the corner and hit the running knee. He went for the bulldog, but Sami slipped out. Sami tried the Blue Thunder Bomb but couldn’t get Punk up. Punk lifted Sami for the GTS, Sami escaped, shoved Punk toward the referee, and then hit the Blue Thunder Bomb for a close two count.

Punk rocked Sami with a forearm, but Sami answered with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Sami set for the Helluva Kick, but Punk cut him off with a clothesline. Punk hit the Go 2 Sleep, but his knee gave out and he couldn’t secure the cover fast enough, only getting a near fall.

Punk signaled the end and tried to haul Sami up again — but Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae appeared. Punk went after Gargano, and Sami rolled him up for a near fall. Sami dropped into the figure‑four. Candice distracted the referee, and Punk locked in the Anaconda Vice. Sami tapped, but the referee never saw it.

Johnny slid in with the title belt, but Punk hit a Go 2 Sleep on Gargano. Sami grabbed the belt next, but Kevin Owens ran in and tried to stop him — only to miss and smash Punk instead. Sami hit Owens with a low blow.

Sami threw the belt aside, charged, and hit the Helluva Kick. He covered Punk and got the three count.

Winner and NEW WWE Undisputed Champion: Sami Zayn

CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Championship

CM Punk defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn. Zayn forced the Number One Contenders Match between Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, and GUNTHER to end in a no contest on August 28 when he interfered and left all three men — plus Punk — laid out. Zayn tried again to influence the title picture last Friday by hitting Punk with the championship belt during Punk’s match with Johnny Gargano, hoping to help Gargano kick out. Punk still kicked out, and a brawl broke out between Zayn, Balor, GUNTHER, and Owens. Tonight, Zayn finally gets his shot.

Chelsea Green vs. Nia Jax – Interim Women’s Championship

Nia Jax challenges Chelsea Green for the Interim Women’s Championship. Jax and Legend confronted Green last Friday as Green and the SmackDown General Manager spoke with the doctor about her medical clearance. Green was cleared to compete as long as she wore a protective face mask for her previously broken orbital bone. Moments after Green defeated Tiffany Stratton, Jax stole the mask, adding fuel to tonight’s title match.

Rey Fenix vs. Ricky Saints – AAA Cruiserweight Championship

Rey Fenix defends the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints. This marks Fenix’s first televised defense since retaining against EK Prosper on August 25. Saints now steps up for his shot as Fenix continues his busy schedule across WWE and AAA.

The War Raiders vs. Damian Priest & R‑Truth – AAA World Tag Team Championship

Ivar and Erik of The War Raiders defend the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Damian Priest and R‑Truth. The War Raiders retained the titles against Los Americanos at AAA Ola De Calor on August 30. Priest and Truth previously met the Raiders in a Triple Threat Match on August 14, where Priest and Truth lost their WWE Tag Team Championship to Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga of MFT. Tonight, the AAA belts are on the line.

Paige vs. Nikki Bella

Paige returns to action against Nikki Bella. Paige came up short against Jacy Jayne for the Women’s United States Championship on August 28, and Nikki has been targeting her ever since. Nikki and Brie attacked Paige after their loss to Fatal Influence at SummerSlam Sunday on August 1. Nikki blames Paige for Brie’s injury and the two have exchanged heated messages for weeks. Tonight, they finally meet in the ring.

Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes Appear

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes are both advertised for tonight’s show as their issues continue to escalate across SmackDown.
