Mike Santana has commented on his future with TNA Wrestling as speculation continues to grow regarding his contract status and reported interest from WWE.
Recent reports suggested that Santana’s TNA contract is expected to expire in mid-July, with WWE reportedly showing interest in signing the current TNA World Champion. The speculation has also been fueled by comments from former tag team partner Matt Hardy, who previously stated he would not be surprised to see Santana make the jump.
Speaking with Celebrate Wrestling’s Mike McGuire, Santana reflected on his time in TNA and the progress he has made since returning to the company. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to rebuild his career and highlighted his role in the company’s recent momentum.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity that TNA gave me the last two years as far as being able to reinvent myself and rebuild myself. Just looking back on these last two years, I’ve been able to accomplish a lot of things and do a lot of great things. I don’t take it for granted, and being a part of why the company is where we’re at today and having this new TV deal and all this stuff and just being on the forefront of that, it feels great, and it’s something that I take very serious,” Santana said.
Santana also addressed his outlook moving forward, emphasizing that personal and professional growth remains his priority. While he did not directly comment on WWE rumors, he made clear that he is open to opportunities wherever they may come.
“As far as the future goes, I’m the type that growth is part of my life, and I feel like if there’s an opportunity for me to grow, then that’s what I’m going to do, whether it’s at TNA or anywhere,” Santana continued.
He also spoke about his motivation outside the ring, mentioning his daughter and the importance of setting an example through his career progression.
At TNA Slammiversary 2026, Santana is set to defend the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth, a match that could have major implications for his future depending on the outcome.
