Mike Santana believes TNA Wrestling is moving in the right direction following its transition to AMC earlier this year.
TNA’s flagship show TNA iMPACT! began airing on AMC on January 15, and since the move, viewership has remained steady between 230,000 and 250,000. Santana, who won the TNA World Championship for the second time on the debut episode on AMC, spoke about the overall mindset within the locker room.
“I think it’s been going great, like the numbers have been going up and they’ve been consistent, so that’s always a good thing, right? And I think everyone has maintained that mindset of we want to do everything that we can to continue elevating the brand and elevating the show. And I think the beauty of our locker room is that everyone has that. Everyone is focused,” Santana said on Busted Open After Dark. “Yes, everyone has their own personal goals. Everyone has their own personal agendas. That’s the nature of it, right? But overall, everyone is doing what they need to do for the betterment of the brand.”
Santana acknowledged that while progress has been made, there is still room for improvement as the company continues to build momentum.
“Not everything is perfect. There’s going to be holes and things. But for where we’re at right now and what we’re doing and the consistency that we’re seeing with the numbers, I think we’re in a good space, and it’s up to us to continue that,” he added.
The TNA AMC viewership growth has been one of the key indicators of stability since the move, with consistent numbers helping to establish a foundation for further expansion.
In addition to its North American presence, TNA has also been working to grow internationally. The promotion recently secured a broadcast deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to air programming on Eurosport India, extending its reach to markets including India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
With steady ratings and a focused roster, Santana’s comments reflect confidence within the company as it looks to build on its current position.
