According to Bryan Alvarez, there is some positive news despite the situation. “Update on Steve Maclin is that he was up and walking around after the show, but the belief is he is likely concussed,” Alvarez reported.
Following Maclin’s removal from the match, Eddie Edwards made his way to the ring and began brawling with Santana. The two continued fighting for several minutes, turning the main event into a chaotic scene. The segment ended with Santana delivering a frog splash that put Edwards through a table.
Due to the circumstances, Santana was officially declared the winner via no contest as the broadcast went off the air.
Maclin’s involvement in the main event comes after a notable storyline shift in recent weeks. Despite being “fired” from TNA after retrieving the wrong briefcase in the Feast or Fired match, he continued appearing on television. During that time, he turned heel by attacking Santana and announcer Tom Hannifan.
