AEW Collision Slam Dunk Specials Draw Massive Viewership

AEW Collision Slam Dunk Viewership – All Elite Wrestling delivered two special editions of AEW Collision over the weekend, airing one-hour Slam Dunk broadcasts on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22. Both episodes aired on TNT following NCAA Tournament coverage, and the adjusted schedule helped boost overall viewership.

The Saturday night episode of AEW Collision brought in 470,000 viewers, which is an increase from the 458,000 viewers recorded on March 14. The show also saw a rise in the key 18–49 demographic, posting a 0.10 rating compared to the previous week’s 0.07.

The following night saw even stronger numbers. The Sunday Slam Dunk special drew 616,000 viewers on TNT, marking a significant jump from Saturday’s audience. The 18–49 demographic rating also improved, climbing to 0.12 after Saturday’s 0.10.

Combined, the two Slam Dunk specials drew a total of 1,086,000 viewers across both nights. The combined 18–49 demographic rating for the weekend averaged out to 0.11, reflecting consistent growth in AEW’s key audience over the two broadcasts.

Both shows benefited from their placement after NCAA Tournament games, which often deliver strong lead-in audiences. The scheduling shift gave AEW Collision added exposure over the weekend, contributing to the increase in both total viewers and demographic performance.

The back-to-back format also provided AEW with a unique opportunity to present its product across two consecutive nights, rather than its usual single Saturday broadcast. This approach appears to have paid off, especially with Sunday’s episode posting the highest numbers of the two.

These results continue a trend of AEW programming gaining momentum when paired with major sports lead-ins. While Collision typically airs on Saturday nights, special scheduling tied to events like the NCAA Tournament can have a noticeable impact on viewership patterns.

With both nights showing growth compared to prior episodes, the Slam Dunk specials stand as a positive indicator for AEW’s ability to attract a larger audience under the right conditions.
