Stephanie Vaquer is now expected to return to WWE in time for the Clash in Italy weekend later this month, with internal projections tightening around the May 31 event in Turin.
According to PWInsider, the current expectation is that Vaquer either appears at the Clash in Italy premium live event or resurfaces in the build-up on television leading into the show at the Inalpi Arena.
A previous report had suggested a possible return on tonight’s edition of RAW in Greensboro, North Carolina, but she is not present for the taping, and there were no indications that she had traveled to the venue.
Creative discussions around Vaquer have reportedly increased over the past 10 days, though the timeline has shifted slightly from earlier speculation. WrestleVotes Radio previously noted that no firm internal return date had been locked in, with early projections placing her absence at a minimum of six weeks from her April 27 write-off, and potentially stretching toward SummerSlam season.
Vaquer was written off WWE programming on the April 27 episode of RAW in a backstage attack angle involving Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, alongside Liv Morgan. During the segment, Perez drove an equipment case into Vaquer’s shoulder, leading to commentary confirmation from Michael Cole that she suffered a second-degree AC sprain.
The injury was later confirmed as legitimate by reporting from Bryan Alvarez, while additional details from Dave Meltzer indicated that Vaquer was originally scheduled to face Morgan at Backlash on May 9 before the match was removed due to the injury.
There has also been speculation that the injury may have predated the storyline attack, with the segment used to explain her absence and potentially reintegrate her into the ongoing program upon return.
Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship reign lasted 210 days, serving as a central storyline in WWE’s women’s division through late 2025 and into WrestleMania 42, where she lost the title to Liv Morgan in a match reportedly shortened due to both competitors dealing with physical issues.
Despite her absence, Vaquer remains featured on promotional material for Clash in Italy alongside top stars including Cody Rhodes, GUNTHER, Seth Rollins, and others.
If the current timetable holds, her return would likely serve as a reset point for her ongoing storyline with Morgan heading into the summer stretch of WWE programming.
