Zoey Stark has unveiled new details about her post-WWE career, including a new ring name, a confirmed return date, and a new training partnership following her release from WWE.
In a montage video posted on Sunday, Stark announced she will now compete under the name Zoey Serrano, using her real surname, along with the nickname “The Purist.” She also confirmed a planned in-ring return date of July 24, 2026, which aligns with the expected end of her 90-day non-compete clause following her April 24 release.
Stark was part of WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts that also included names such as Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, and members of Wyatt Sicks.
The video also showed Serrano training with Brian Cage, who has recently been working with various released WWE talent and independent wrestlers. The footage highlighted her continued in-ring development as she prepares for her return to active competition.
A portion of the training montage featured Serrano executing a springboard missile dropkick, the same move that led to a serious knee injury during her WWE run. The injury occurred on the May 19, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW during a Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. The landing resulted in a torn ACL, sidelining her for an extended period before her eventual release.
The video concluded with her new ring name and return date displayed together, signaling a planned comeback once she is both medically cleared and contractually free to compete again.
Before her WWE departure, Serrano was a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside IYO SKY, holding the titles in 2021 before losing them at Halloween Havoc in a ladder match against Toxic Attraction.
She was later moved to the main roster in 2023, where she became part of the Pure Fusion Collective alongside Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Nia Jax on RAW.
Serrano’s announcement positions her next chapter as a full reset, combining a new identity with a structured timeline for her return to in-ring action.
