Former AAA and CMLL wrestler Cuatrero has officially been sentenced to prison following his conviction in the attempted femicide case involving WWE star Stephanie Vaquer.
According to reports from El Planchitas, Cuatrero, whose real name is Rogelio Reyes, received a sentence of 12 years and eight months in prison after being found guilty earlier this month.
Because he has already served approximately two years while awaiting the conclusion of the case, the remaining sentence reportedly stands at 10 years and eight months.
The report also stated that Cuatrero could potentially reduce additional prison time through good behavior credits, meaning he may only serve slightly more than four additional years if approved for sentence reductions under local regulations.
Meanwhile, Vaquer’s legal team is reportedly expected to appeal in pursuit of a harsher sentence.
Stephanie Vaquer Case Stems From 2023 Domestic Violence Incident
The case originated from an alleged domestic violence incident in March 2023 while Vaquer was wrestling in Mexico and involved in a relationship with Cuatrero.
According to Vaquer’s account, an argument between the two escalated physically when Cuatrero allegedly grabbed her violently by the throat and threw her into a wall. The impact reportedly caused an object hanging on the wall to fall and strike her.
The incident quickly became one of the most widely discussed legal controversies in Mexican wrestling.
Earlier this year on International Women’s Day, Stephanie Vaquer publicly addressed the case again by posting a message promising to continue fighting for truth and justice.
Reports surrounding the situation also alleged that some people within the wrestling industry initially attempted to protect Cuatrero and discourage Vaquer from going to police authorities.
One of the names previously linked to those claims was La Hiedra, who was reportedly dating Cuatrero’s brother at the time.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Cuatrero had previously been released from jail in 2025 while awaiting the final outcome of the case. During that period, he returned to wrestling and competed on independent shows in Mexico.
Cuatrero is also known as the son of legendary luchador Cien Caras.
Stephanie Vaquer has since continued building momentum internationally and is currently part of WWE programming following her rise through the Mexican wrestling scene.
