Countdown to WrestleMania 42 Saturday
Michael Cole Interviews Roman Reigns
Michael Cole sits down with Roman Reigns.
Roman says things feel different when he is here because this is his family business. When you’re meant to do this, you feel it. He says he was born for it — it was God’s plan to put him and his family in this position.
Cole asks about Roman and WrestleMania.
Roman says this is his legacy. He told the twins this is their family’s legacy. To have eleven WrestleMania main events is something he’s proud of.
Cole brings up CM Punk and 2012 with The Shield.
Roman says nothing drew him to Punk. The higher powers put him into the group. Punk was cool to him — they traveled together, trained together. But you don’t take out what’s going on with the office on the boys. Punk was being CM Punk, and he took his ball and went home.
Cole asks if Roman is irked because Punk wasn’t here while Roman was rising to the top.
We will hear more later.

Byron asks about her change in attitude.
Jade says she’s being herself. She tried to follow the rules, but that didn’t work.
Byron asks about facing Rhea.
Jade ignores the question, then says Rhea’s makeup is impressive — nothing else about her is.

Rey says he’s in the ring with the new generation. He’s excited and anxious. It’s a big moment because he missed last year’s show. He says it was unfortunate he got hurt the night before WrestleMania. A year later, this is special. He says luck is on his side.
Joe Tessitore Interviews Paul “Triple H” Levesque — Part Two
Joe asks Paul about last year with John Cena and what meant the most to him. Paul says it was John’s happiness — giving back to the business on his way out. For John to go out the way he wanted to meant everything.
Joe brings up how John wanted to pay it forward and how much new talent is on WrestleMania this year. Paul says this is exactly what the Performance Center was created for.
Paul talks about being in the ring with Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, describing the feeling. He says Oba’s credibility and aura have made his interactions with Brock mean even more.
Joe asks about Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley. Paul says Jade looks like a comic book character come to life, and there’s a lot of pressure to back that up. For Rhea, as soon as her music hits, whatever she does just works.
Joe asks about Roman Reigns and CM Punk. Paul says there are epic levels of tension — the kind where you worry it could go unprofessional. This is real, and people cannot fathom the amount of “f*** you” between them. Paul says they aren’t trying to get the crowd to react; they’re saying things directly to each other.
CM Punk Talks With Corey Graves
Corey asks Punk about the rivalry with Roman Reigns, going all the way back to The Shield.
Punk says he talked to all three members of The Shield back then and told them that whatever they did before meant nothing — do something so you’re never forgotten. He says he asked each of them what they wanted, and Roman said he wanted to provide for his daughter. Punk says Roman might have what it takes because when your dad is a famous wrestler, you’re given certain benefits.
Corey asks if Punk respects Roman.
Punk says he doesn’t care if you don’t respect him — but don’t disrespect him. Punk says he’s very prideful. Roman gets hurt when someone does better than he does. Roman puts his family above everything else, but then thinks it’s okay to be a part‑timer.
Corey brings up the Sika comment.
Punk says he crossed the line — that’s what he does. He gets in your head. He says he has all the respect in the world for Sika, Afa, and all the Wild Samoans. Roman needs to be taught a lesson. Punk says he knows he’s better than that, but that’s his game plan.
Corey asks why Punk doesn’t think Roman can do it alone.
Punk says Roman never has. He’s someone’s idea that had to be pushed across the goal line. Punk asks if people remember the WrestleManias Roman main‑evented — you remember the ones he lost.
Corey asks what happens if Punk wins tonight.
Punk says you’ll get a champion who will be there every week. You’ll get a fighting champion.
Spotlight on Oba Femi
We take a look at Oba Femi.
Oba says he doesn’t even know his own strength — he’s stronger than he realizes. He talks about growing up in Nigeria, living on hard work. Life was harder than it should have been. He says his favorites were Triple H and The Undertaker because of their aura and their larger‑than‑life presence.
His coach at Alabama says Oba was a man among boys — special from the moment he arrived.
A strength coach talks about how they wanted him to play football.
Oba says he was in love with the shot put, so he wasn’t going to play football. He says he’s motivated to win and he doesn’t have the underdog feel. That’s why Brock Lesnar standing across from him means so much. This is his biggest challenge.
Michael Cole Interviews Roman Reigns — Part Two
Michael Cole continues his conversation with Roman Reigns. Cole mentions that they met right before CM Punk left WWE years ago. He asks Roman if it bothers him that Punk came back and didn’t have to go through what Roman had to go through.
Roman says he put in all the work to move on from people like CM Punk, John Cena, and The Rock. He says we’re living off the nostalgia of CM Punk, but it isn’t 2012. The people who were supposed to carry the company “s*** the bed.” Roman says Punk brought his family into this because Punk doesn’t have the clout or the power.
Cole brings up Punk’s comments about being here every week and asks for Roman’s response.
Roman says for a man who missed ten years of work, Punk has told more people that he’s rich. Roman says, “Phil, you missed ten years. You aren’t rich. Who are you going to pass things down to?”
Cole asks what happens if Roman wins.
Roman says he brings the place back to relevancy and brings things back to his levels.
Cole asks what happens if Roman loses.
Roman says if he loses, he doesn’t belong in WWE anymore. If he loses, his work is done.

WrestleMania 42 Sunday Preview
After a chaotic and unforgettable Saturday, WrestleMania 42 rolls into its second night with a six‑match lineup that promises just as much spectacle, drama, and championship stakes.
For fans in the United States, the first hour of Night Two airs on ESPN, and the action begins immediately with Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar. Lesnar issued an open challenge to anyone bold enough to face him on WWE’s biggest stage, and “The Ruler” — newly called up to the main roster — stepped forward without hesitation. Tonight marks Femi’s first WrestleMania appearance, and he intends to make it a career‑defining moment.
Also during the ESPN hour, Penta defends the Intercontinental Championship in a high‑risk Ladder Match against Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev, and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. With six competitors, multiple styles, and ladders in play, this one has all the makings of a show‑stealer.
While the exact match order for the remainder of the night remains under wraps, fans do know that Roman Reigns will once again headline WrestleMania as he challenges CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns earned the opportunity by winning the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble and immediately set his sights on Punk out of pure animosity. Their rivalry has been personal, bitter, and unrelenting — and tonight, it reaches its breaking point.
Elsewhere on the card, former allies collide as Dominik Mysterio faces Finn Balor. Balor, now exiled from Judgment Day, has resurrected his Demon persona for the occasion, while Dominik may have the full support of his stablemates. With betrayal fueling both sides, this grudge match could turn vicious in a hurry.
The WWE Women’s Championship is also on the line as Jade Cargill defends against Rhea Ripley, the winner of the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber. Cargill has surrounded herself with B‑Fab and Michin throughout the road to WrestleMania, while Ripley has relied solely on IYO SKY. With both sides bringing backup, the title fight is guaranteed to be intense.
Finally, newly crowned United States Champion Sami Zayn puts his title on the line against Trick Williams, who arrives with rapper Lil Yachty in his corner. Zayn’s surprise victory has shaken up the division, but Williams is determined to make his own WrestleMania moment.
