Cody Rhodes Pulled From WWE World After WrestleMania 42 Injuries

Cody Rhodes left WrestleMania 42 Saturday still holding the Undisputed WWE Championship, but the effects of his match are already impacting his schedule. WWE has removed him from a planned WWE World appearance following the event.

After his main event match against Randy Orton at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Rhodes was set to take part in a WWE World meet-and-greet on April 19, 2026. That appearance has now been canceled due to injuries he sustained during the match. Fans who purchased photo opportunities and autograph sessions were informed of the change.

The notice sent to fans stated:

“Due to injuries sustained at WrestleMania Cody Rhodes is no longer able to make it to WWE World. Unfortunately, this means your photo op and/or autograph have been cancelled.”

Rhodes’ match with Orton was one of the most physical bouts on WrestleMania 42 Saturday. The contest included outside involvement from Pat McAfee and a table spot involving Jelly Roll, leading to a chaotic finish. Despite the intensity, Rhodes managed to retain his championship.

While he secured the victory, the aftermath has clearly taken a toll. WWE’s decision to pull him from WWE World indicates that the injuries were significant enough to prevent immediate public appearances during WrestleMania weekend.

There is currently no official update on the severity of Rhodes’ condition or how long he may be affected. It is also unclear if this situation will impact his in-ring schedule in the coming weeks.

With WrestleMania weekend still ongoing, Rhodes’ absence from WWE World raises questions about what comes next for the Undisputed WWE Champion following a demanding title defense.
