Bronson Reed Undergoes Surgery – Bronson Reed has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn distal biceps suffered on the February 23 episode of WWE RAW. The injury took place during a triple-threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Jey Uso and El Grande Americano.
Late Friday night, Reed shared an update from his hospital bed, writing, “Surgery done. Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back.” The post confirmed that the procedure was completed and that his recovery process has begun.
Reed was scheduled to win the qualifying match and move on to the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Chicago. However, an audible was called in the ring after he suffered the injury. As a result, Jey Uso picked up the victory instead. Reed now joins Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker on the injury list, leaving The Vision faction without multiple key members.
The injury has also caused a ripple effect in WWE creative plans. On the February 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, Jey Uso was written off television after being stretchered out following a backstage attack. That development led to a last-minute qualifying match between Jacob Fatu and Logan Paul to determine the final entrant in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Logan Paul won the match after Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre interfered, striking Fatu with the title belt while security was distracted by a decoy masked man. With that result, the Elimination Chamber lineup is now finalized.
Paul will join Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams at the United Center in Chicago. The winner will earn a championship opportunity against McIntyre at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Reed is expected to miss the remainder of the WrestleMania season. He was sent to Birmingham, Alabama, shortly after the injury to consult with specialists. WWE has reportedly made heavy rewrites to the ongoing masked man storyline, which originally involved Reed. His recovery timeline remains unclear as he begins rehabilitation.
