Fan Support Grows For Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi At WrestleMania 42

WWE officials are reportedly aware of increasing fan demand for a match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company knows that many fans want Femi to answer Lesnar’s recent open challenges.

Lesnar returned to RAW on February 23, 2026, in Atlanta. The appearance marked the start of his advertised run heading into WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. Roman Reigns and CM Punk are also expected to appear exclusively on RAW during this period. During Lesnar’s in-ring segment, the Atlanta crowd loudly chanted for Oba Femi. Lesnar and Paul Heyman did not respond to the chants. Dave Meltzer reported that the silence may have been intentional to avoid signaling a change in creative plans.

Internal creative documents from late January 2026 reportedly listed Lesnar for a singles match against LA Knight. Knight, along with Cody Rhodes, eliminated Lesnar from the Royal Rumble. That moment provided a direct storyline reason for a feud between Lesnar and Knight.

However, while the internal plan pointed toward Knight, the Royal Rumble itself did little to build that specific program. In contrast, the brief interaction between Lesnar and Femi drew one of the strongest crowd reactions of the match.

Femi entered the Royal Rumble at number one and lasted 39 minutes, delivering a standout performance. He later spoke about the moment on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast. Femi described the exchange with Lesnar as a way to test the audience’s interest in a future rivalry. The strong reaction indicated that fans are open to the matchup.

At this stage, it is unclear whether WWE will adjust its WrestleMania 42 plans. While Lesnar vs. LA Knight was previously listed internally, the response to Femi has added another option to the discussion as the event approaches.
