GUNTHER Hints Brock Lesnar Could Be Next Retirement Target – GUNTHER may have found his next target, and this time it could be Brock Lesnar.
With Lesnar scheduled to appear on WWE RAW this week, speculation has increased about what the future holds for “The Beast.” Reports have suggested that Lesnar has been considering retirement in the coming months. That possibility has placed him directly in the conversation with the man who now calls himself “The Career Killer.”
GUNTHER has already built that nickname into a clear storyline identity. In recent months, he has been credited with retiring Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles. Each of those names carries major weight in WWE history. If Lesnar is nearing the end of his run, GUNTHER appears more than willing to step into that role again.
While speaking on Atlanta’s The Morning Shift on 92.9 The Game to promote RAW, GUNTHER was asked directly whether Lesnar could be next on his list. Instead of giving a simple answer, he turned the question around.
“Oh, who do you think should be next?” he said.
One of the hosts responded by naming Lesnar, noting that the former WWE Champion may only have a few appearances left.
GUNTHER did not hesitate in showing interest.
“That’s a good one, right? So, yeah, we’ll see. I think there’s a bunch of examples of people that overstay their welcome, and they just hang on a little bit too much to chase one moment too much,” he said. “So it seems like there’s a big amount of people to choose from.”
The interview then shifted to a lighter tone when the hosts joked that GUNTHER should retire announcers as well. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee were mentioned by name. GUNTHER added that sometimes he looks at Cole, who has been with WWE for decades, and thinks, “Go home, man. You’ve done your part. It’s time.”
With Lesnar appearing on RAW and retirement rumors circulating, GUNTHER’s comments add intrigue to the situation. If WWE decides to close another chapter, GUNTHER has made it clear he would welcome the opportunity.
