Identity of Masked Man Unmasked On SmackDown

The ongoing masked man storyline involving The Vision took another turn on the February 27 episode of WWE SmackDown.

During the main event, Logan Paul faced Jacob Fatu for the vacant Men’s Elimination Chamber spot. As the match reached a key moment, the masked figure appeared again and attempted to interfere. In previous weeks, the attacker had successfully ambushed members of The Vision, including Bron Breakker and Austin Theory. This time, however, the plan failed.

Paul stopped the interference and pulled the mask off the individual. The reveal showed a face unfamiliar to most viewers. The man was later identified as independent wrestler Donovan Izzolena, who competes under the name “The Magnificent Don Furio.” Furio is a student of Seth Rollins’ Black & Brave Wrestling Academy.

The unmasking immediately led to speculation. Reports from Fightful Select state that WWE made heavy rewrites to the masked man storyline following a legitimate injury to Bronson Reed earlier in the week. The injury reportedly forced creative changes, which may explain the unexpected reveal.

It remains unclear whether Furio was meant to be the true mastermind behind the attacks or simply a placeholder to keep the storyline active. Given the reported rewrites, the possibility that he was a decoy cannot be ruled out.

For now, WWE has not confirmed whether the mystery has been solved. The reveal answered one question but created several more. With Elimination Chamber approaching, the situation surrounding The Vision and the masked attacker appears far from resolved.
