Dave Meltzer addressed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying, “I know that they wanted Frankie Kazarian and AJ Styles and obviously this is what they got. I don’t know, maybe it’s possible they can always shoot an angle and do it later.” While nothing has been finalized, the comments suggest that plans involving Styles could continue to evolve.
Even if Styles does not compete on the AMC debut episode, another option remains on the table. One idea discussed would see him return to the ring at TNA’s upcoming Genesis pay-per-view.
