Eddie Kingston Shares Positive Injury Update – AEW star Eddie Kingston has shared an encouraging update on his health following his long recovery and recent return to the ring. Kingston confirmed that his knee is feeling strong after more than a year away from in-ring competition.
Kingston was sidelined from May 2024 until September 2025 after suffering a fractured tibia along with a torn ACL and meniscus. He made his return at AEW All Out 2025, where he competed against Big Bill. The match marked his first bout back after being out of action for well over a year.
Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Kingston discussed how he is feeling since returning. When asked about his timing in the ring, Kingston admitted he is still working on it. “Still more time,” Kingston said. “That’s also me never being happy with anything. It’s just like, ‘eh.’”
While he acknowledged that his body is dealing with the effects of a long career, Kingston made it clear that his knee, which was the most serious issue, is no longer a concern. “Knee feels great. All the old injuries decided to say, ‘Hey, we’re still here.’ I’m getting them more time,” Kingston explained. “Those were the injuries that were just bumps and bruises over 25 years. They’ll massage it out or I’ll take a shower and put tiger balm (on them) and feel fine.”
Kingston emphasized that his confidence in his knee has fully returned. “The one that was big was the knee and the knee feels great. I have no worry about it whatsoever. Once I put the brace on, I’m good to go.”
Since his return, Kingston has remained active on AEW programming. He recently challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship on AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming last month. Looking ahead, Kingston is scheduled to team with Ortiz to face the Grizzled Young Veterans at AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage this weekend.
