Raquel Rodriguez Broke Women’s World Title Belt – WWE RAW on January 12 emanated from Düsseldorf, Germany, and featured a tense in-ring interview with former Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez that quickly escalated into another violent confrontation with Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Michael Cole conducted the interview and immediately addressed Rodriguez’s shocking attack on Vaquer the previous week. Raquel responded by stating that she is no longer the same person Cole knew when she first arrived in WWE, emphasizing that people change over time. She made it clear that she is fixated on getting Vaquer alone in the ring and said she will not stop until that happens. Raquel doubled down on her message with a chilling warning, claiming that when “Big Sexy” Raquel Rodriguez finally gets Vaquer one-on-one, everyone will feel sorry for her once it is over.

That brought out Stephanie Vaquer, who walked onto the stage with the Women’s World Title around her waist. Vaquer was once again wearing a protective boot on her left foot, signaling that her injury remains an issue. WWE officials accompanied her to prevent the situation from turning physical. As it appeared Raquel was backing away, Vaquer challenged her to come and get it. Raquel instead attacked from behind, using the Women’s World Championship as a weapon and repeatedly striking Vaquer’s injured left leg. Vaquer was left writhing on the mat in pain as Rodriguez exited the ring.

After the show, Rodriguez took to social media to reveal that the title itself did not survive the assault, writing, “I don’t want to brag but….. I broke the title tonight 😬😎 oops 🤷🏻‍♀️😂”.

Fightful Select has since confirmed that Vaquer’s injury is legitimate, though there has been no confirmation on its severity. Vaquer has shared photos and videos showing heavy bruising around her left foot. At this point, it could be an ankle or foot sprain that may require several weeks to heal, a type of injury athletes regularly deal with.

There is currently no Women’s World Title match scheduled between Vaquer and Rodriguez. However, Rodriguez’s Judgment Day allies Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez are set to challenge Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24.
