Liv Morgan Returns, Helps Dominik Mysterio Beat John Cena at Survivor Series – Dominik Mysterio walked out of Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 as the new Intercontinental Champion after defeating John Cena in a wild, interference-heavy match that marked Cena’s 178th and final WWE premium live event bout. Cena had recaptured the title from Mysterio on November 10, but Dominik reclaimed it in front of his hometown fans in San Diego, thanks to an avalanche of outside involvement, misdirection, and a pivotal return.

Mysterio entered the match accompanied by Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, who repeatedly inserted themselves into the action behind the referee’s back. Their presence immediately shaped the tone of the bout. During a hurricanrana exchange, Dominik clutched his shoulder, drawing concern from the referee. The injury was a calculated fake; the moment the referee focused on Cena, Perez and Rodriguez stormed into the ring, hitting Cena with a Tejana Bomb and Pop Rox. Dominik sprang up unharmed and connected with the 619, but the referee refused to count the pinfall after realizing what had happened, resulting in Perez and Rodriguez being ejected.

With the match reset, Cena rallied with his signature offense. The STF nearly brought the bout to a close until Dominik reached the ropes. Cena tried to pull him back to the center, but Dominik slipped out of his boot and countered with a second 619. His Frog Splash attempt was unsuccessful, and seconds later Cena landed an Attitude Adjustment that Dominik shockingly kicked out of. A shoulder tackle from Cena inadvertently knocked down the referee, creating another opening for interference. This time, Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh rushed in to take out Cena on behalf of Judgment Day.

Cena fought them off and attempted a double Attitude Adjustment, but Dominik again tried to turn the tide with the championship belt. Cena countered, hitting him with another AA—only for the night’s biggest twist to unfold.

Liv Morgan made her surprise return, stepping into the ring and momentarily reuniting with Dominik before turning and striking him. She immediately clung to Cena in what appeared to be a dramatic reconciliation—only for both actions to be revealed as misdirection. Morgan struck Cena low, allowing Dominik to land another 619. Morgan blasted Cena with the title belt, and Dominik closed the match with a Frog Splash to secure the victory.

With the win, Dominik Mysterio becomes a two-time Intercontinental Champion. John Cena is scheduled for his farewell match on December 13 at Saturday Night Main Event, drawing the curtain on his in-ring career.
