Backstage sources recently provided an update on Jordynne Grace WWE creative status to clarify why the powerhouse competitor has been missing from weekly television.
Jordynne Grace’s television presence has been relatively quiet since her last appearance on the June 12, 2026, episode of WWE Main Event, where she came up short against Kiana James. However, backstage clarity has emerged regarding where she currently stands with the company.
Backstage Status And Creative Standing
During a recent installment of WrestleVotes Radio, Grace’s current status and long-term future with the promotion were addressed. While Grace is not actively featured in weekly creative plans at this exact moment, sources emphasize that her absence does not indicate a lack of company interest or an impending departure.
Insiders noted that the SmackDown women’s division is currently operating at maximum capacity. With finite television time on the two-hour Friday night broadcast, creative teams are juggling several prominent factions and feuds, including Fatal Influence, Charlotte Flair’s stable, Jade Cargill’s group, Tiffany Stratton with her Money in the Bank briefcase, alongside featured programs involving Nikki Bella, Paige, and Chelsea Green.
Because of the crowded roster, management views Grace’s current hiatus as a temporary logjam rather than a permanent roadblock. Her current standing was compared to Johnny Gargano’s previous stretch, where he spent months off television before instantly re-entering the title picture in high-profile qualifying matches.
Rumored Plans And Future Outlook
Speculation earlier in September suggested that Grace was slated to make her return to television as part of a newly formed tag team alongside Ivy Nile, though those plans have yet to materialize on screen. Despite the current delay, WWE reportedly maintains a very favorable view of her talent and upside.
While there is no confirmed timetable for her return to active programming, Grace remains under contract, and creative opportunities are expected to open up once current brand storylines reach their conclusion.
