New Report Links Andrade’s WWE Exit to Wellness Policy Failure

New Report Links Andrade’s WWE Exit to Wellness Policy Failure – Fresh details have surfaced regarding Andrade’s abrupt departure from WWE. As previously noted, Andrade was quietly moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website last week without an official announcement, sparking speculation over the circumstances of his release.

According to a new report from Sports Illustrated’s Jon Alba, corroborated by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, a WWE Wellness Policy failure was one of the contributing factors in Andrade’s dismissal. The report further noted that WWE is no longer publicly announcing these violations, marking a departure from its past practice of issuing formal statements when talent failed the policy. Johnson added that talk of the Wellness Policy issue had been circulating among WWE talent as far back as August.

The Sports Illustrated report also referenced another rumor that Andrade had become unreachable to WWE officials in recent weeks. It was claimed that he had traveled to another country in South America and was not responding to the company’s attempts to get in touch with him.

Additionally, there had been speculation that Andrade’s refusal to work with AAA, WWE’s partner promotion in Mexico, may have played a role in his release. However, PWInsider shot down that theory, with three separate sources confirming that Andrade was never asked to participate in the AAA crossover events and was not factored into any related creative plans.

As noted yesterday, Andrade’s WWE departure was also linked to disciplinary issue at TV Taping.

Andrade’s removal from WWE’s active roster online was the first official signal that his time with the company had ended. With multiple reports now pointing to disciplinary issues and a Wellness Policy violation, his departure appears to have stemmed from more than one factor.
