John Cena’s Final Match Confirmed for WWE SNME in Washington, D.C. – WWE has officially confirmed that John Cena’s final in-ring appearance will take place on Saturday, December 13, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. The announcement was made on Tuesday by WWE and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, putting an end to speculation about where the 17-time World Champion will close out his legendary career.
“The last time really is now. @JohnCena’s final match is set for #SNME in Washington, D.C. on December 13. Get your tickets on Oct. 17 because after this…you can’t see him,” WWE posted, echoing Cena’s famous catchphrase.
The Washington, D.C. event will mark the culmination of Cena’s farewell tour, which features only five remaining appearances. His next stop is a high-profile showdown with AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, on October 11. From there, Cena is scheduled for WWE RAW in Boston on November 10 and another RAW taping in New York on November 17. His penultimate appearance will be at WWE Survivor Series on November 29 in San Diego, setting the stage for the grand finale in the nation’s capital.
Cena, who debuted with WWE in 2002 and went on to become one of the most decorated and recognizable stars in wrestling history, has described this retirement run as the perfect way to thank fans who have supported him for more than two decades.
