Ash By Elegance Vacates TNA Knockouts Title, Steps Away From In-Ring Competition – During the TNA Victory Road event tonight, Ash By Elegance announced that she is stepping away from competition and relinquishing the TNA Knockouts World Championship. In an emotional in-ring promo, Ash revealed that personal circumstances have forced her to pause her wrestling career.
“Unfortunately, as you know, life throws you some curveballs, and that’s exactly what I’m going through,” Ash said. “I’m no longer able to compete and do what I love to do. So with that being said, I’m stepping away from in-ring competition, and with a heavy heart, I have to forfeit this title.”
Ash reflected on her journey in TNA, explaining how the company became her home. “A year and a half ago, I came here with a goal in mind, but I was mentally defeated, but I quickly realized that TNA was my home,” she stated. “And that locker room in each and every one of you became my family.” She added that her goal as champion was to elevate the Knockouts division: “I came to TNA to elevate this title and to represent this company with my best ability. I am confident in that locker room and whichever woman holds this title up high, they will elevate it just like I had planned to.”
Before leaving the ring, Ash thanked the fans and acknowledged her on-screen persona. “It was an honor to perform in front of each and every one of you, and whether you cheered for me or booed for me,” she said. “And let’s be honest, you booed for me because I was a complete stuck up bitch to all of you. You guys gave me the best moments of my entire life. So thank you, and I’ll miss you.”
Following the announcement, TNA authority figure Santino Marella declared the Knockouts Championship vacant and revealed that a battle royal will take place on Friday to crown a new champion. Additionally, the planned Knockouts Tag Team Title match scheduled for Victory Road will now take place on Thursday’s episode of Impact.
Ash was originally scheduled to defend the title against Masha Slamovich at Victory Road, but the match was quietly removed from promotion after allegations of domestic abuse surfaced against Slamovich. Instead, it was announced that Ash would have a major announcement at the event.
Ash, 36, began her career at the WWE Performance Center in 2014 and competed in NXT and WWE under the name Dana Brooke. After her WWE release in September 2023, she debuted in TNA the following February, forming the Elegance brand alongside Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance. She won the Knockouts title earlier this summer in a three-way match with champion Jacy Jayne and Slamovich at NXT’s Heatwave event.
