Ash By Elegance Hints at In-Ring Retirement – Ash By Elegance has suggested that her in-ring career might be over following comments made during a recent virtual signing with Rich Degregorio.
Elegance, who recently vacated the TNA Knockouts World Championship at TNA Victory Road, stated at the event that she was “no longer able to compete.” While TNA later issued an injury update confirming that details surrounding her condition would remain private, the star herself has now provided more context on her status.
During the signing, Elegance auctioned off memorabilia, referring to one specific item as significant to her career. She said, “30 dollars for this top. It is worn with me and Paige VanZant but also this is the shirt I retired in. 30 dollars, my retirement t-shirt.”
Toward the end of the session, Elegance thanked fans for their ongoing support and revealed that although she is stepping away from in-ring competition, she will remain involved with TNA in a backstage capacity. She also left the door open for a potential return in the future.
“Thanks for always tuning in and supporting me. I might not be in the ring but I’ll still be busy. TNA has opened their doors for me and allowed me to do things backstage, just not in the ring. Never say never so maybe one day again but until then, thank you guys so much.”
Elegance’s initial remarks about her retirement can be heard around the 1-hour and 17-minute mark of the virtual signing, while her closing statement about possibly returning occurs at the very end of the broadcast.
