Tessa Blanchard Explains TNA Absence Was Due to Breast Implant Surgery – Tessa Blanchard has addressed her recent absence from TNA Wrestling, revealing that she stepped away from television to undergo cosmetic surgery.
The former TNA World Champion and Knockouts World Champion opened up about her decision in a new video on her official YouTube channel on Sunday, explaining that she had breast augmentation surgery and wanted to be transparent with her followers.
“I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to share this with you all and it’s a bit personal,” Blanchard said. “It’s vulnerable and honestly, I wasn’t really sure how it would be received, but I’ve always tried to be real with the people who follow me. So, here it is: I have decided to get a boob job.”
Blanchard made it clear that the decision was a personal one and not influenced by others or external pressure.
“This isn’t something that I’m doing for clout. This isn’t a gimmick. It’s not about trying to live up to someone else’s idea of beauty. It’s something that I’ve thought about for a long time and now I’m finally doing it, but for me,” she explained.
During the video, Blanchard also reflected on advice she received early in her wrestling career. According to her, a mentor once told her that she would need breast implants to succeed in the industry — a comment that stayed with her over the years.
Filmed around the time of her procedure on July 30 in Guadalajara, Mexico, Blanchard said she wanted to “control the narrative” before others could twist the story.
“I want to control the narrative on this,” Blanchard said. “That’s the whole point of this video, is to control my own narrative about it. Because there’s going to be a million people that, once something is public, anyone and everyone is allowed to have an opinion, right? I don’t want this twisted into something that it’s not. This is for me. I feel happy.”
Blanchard returned to in-ring action for the first time in nearly three months, facing Lluvia at a CMLL event in Arena Mexico last Friday. As for her TNA return, she made her comeback at Bound For Glory 2025, defeating TNA broadcaster and debuting wrestler Gia Miller.
