Lacey Evans Responds After Becky Lynch Slams Their Post-WrestleMania Feud – Former WWE Star Lacey Evans has fired back at Becky Lynch after she revisited their 2019 feud and described it as a major disappointment following WrestleMania 35. Lynch’s comments came during her appearance on Something’s Burning with Bert Kreischer, where she reflected on the period immediately after headlining WrestleMania in a historic main event.
Lynch didn’t hide her frustration when discussing her first post-WrestleMania program, saying the transition felt like a steep drop in momentum.
“I start working with Lacey Evans right out the gate [after WrestleMania 35]. God bless her, but she wasn’t, you know… For me to go from the main event of WrestleMania to somebody who hadn’t done anything was terrible.”
Evans wasted no time responding. Taking to social media, she accused Lynch of downplaying the truth and claimed that Lynch often cried backstage during their time working together. Evans also stated that Lynch would never confront her directly.
“Don’t hate the player. Hate the game. 😘 The only person who shoot cried more than you was the baby I had on my hip while taking all the opportunities. 🫠 If/when I come back…..you will STILL do nothing but gently shake my hand and say ‘how cute my little family is’ backstage.”
The exchange reignited longstanding tension between the two. Their rivalry was one of Lynch’s first major storylines as champion following WrestleMania 35, and while the program drew mixed reactions at the time, both women have largely avoided commenting on it publicly in recent years.
Lynch’s remarks have now reopened that chapter, and Evans is clearly not interested in letting it pass quietly. Whether this leads to anything further between the two remains to be seen, but the back-and-forth suggests that the real-life friction still runs deep.
