Mike Santana Regains TNA World Championship On AMC Debut – Closing out the debut episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC was a high-stakes TNA World Championship match, as Frankie Kazarian defended the title against Mike Santana in a hard-fought main event.

The match began with Santana pressing the action early. He attempted to set up Spin The Block, but Kazarian avoided it and quickly scrambled back to his feet. Santana responded with a strong elbow strike and sent Kazarian to the floor. Santana followed with a dive over the ropes, taking the champion down outside the ring. Moments later, Santana charged again, but Kazarian countered and sent him into the barricade, leaving both men down as the show headed to a commercial break.

After the break, Kazarian slowed the pace by dropping Santana with a backstabber and scoring a close two-count. Kazarian continued to jaw at Santana and slapped him repeatedly, but the strikes only fired Santana up. Santana fought back with chops in the corner, blocked a kick, and connected with a superkick. He followed with a Rolling Buck Fifty and nearly won the match, but Kazarian kicked out.

Santana kept the pressure on with a Spanish Fly from the top rope and a Code Red, but the champion survived again. Kazarian regained control by countering a cannonball with raised knees and landing Angel’s Wings for another near fall. The match continued to swing back and forth with counters, roll-ups, and close calls.

The turning point came when Kazarian accidentally struck the referee. With the official down, Santana hit Spin The Block, but could not get the pin. Kazarian then used the World Title belt as a weapon and followed with Fade to Black on the apron. Despite the damage, Santana kicked out once the referee recovered.

In the closing moments, Santana rallied once more. After avoiding Kazarian’s attempt at Spin The Block, Santana connected with his own version of the move and covered Kazarian for the three-count, finally reclaiming the championship.

The victory ended a months-long chase for Santana, who had been seeking revenge since Kazarian used his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy to defeat a battered Santana for the title in November 2025.
